Window Frame Repair & Draught Proofing
Original timber window frames are a key character feature of period properties, but over time they suffer from rot, warping, and gaps that let in draughts. We repair rather than replace where possible — cutting out rotten sections, treating the surrounding timber with wood hardener, and splicing in new timber to match the existing profile. We also draught-proof sash and casement windows using concealed brush strips and seals.

We remove old, damaged skirting and replace it with new MDF or solid timber profiles — from simple square-edge designs to ornate period-style profiles. All joints are mitred, glued, and pinned for a seamless finish, with gaps caulked and nail holes filled ready for painting.
